The clients wanted to update their 20 year old home to feature current finishes but keep a timeless and classic look that would withstand the test of time!
To bring it to life, we brought in all new custom cabinetry, redesigned the island layout, new paint, new tile, gave the original beautiful handscraped beams a refresh and updated the light fixtures.
It is hard to pick a favorite thing in this kitchen renovation - it was a dream kitchen with every detail perfectly designed!
A pot filler is the ideal combination of beauty + function. When we tore out the old kitchen backsplash we discovered that the plumbing had already been completed and the original builder had TILED OVER IT!

You might find yourself asking, "But where did the pantry go?! ". This client had the outdated "corner pantry" and we removed it and added additional cabinetry.
We replaced the original kitchen desk area with tall pantry cabinets and all of the functional storage space that this client desired. We also moved the microwave to a more comfortable and safe height!
The difference really is in the details!
Is anyone else in awe of the glow-up of the original beams?
We achieved this look by removing the little round knobs from the bottoms and applying a fresh gel stain to match the existing beams in the living room.
The client was unsure about staining them and making the room feel too dark, but trusted our design and they love how this space turned out!
